About the event

The European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is pleased to host Mr. Jens Eskelund, President of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China and Chief Representative for Greater China & Northeast Asia at A.P. Moller – Maersk, for an exclusive briefing on the evolving business landscape in China and its implications for European companies.

At a time of shifting economic conditions and complex political dynamics, European businesses in China are navigating a landscape shaped by both opportunity and risk. Drawing on EuroCham China’s newly released Position Paper and his recent meetings in Brussels, Mr. Eskelund will provide a timely perspective on the state of trade, the broader economic environment, and forward-looking suggestions for China’s 15th Five-Year Plan.

The session will be followed by a panel discussion with Mr. Eskelund and additional speakers, Jeff Walters and Patrick W T Yeung, exploring practical implications for market access, scaling strategies, and resilience planning in today’s environment.

This exclusive session offers a rare opportunity to gain insight from one of the most experienced voices at the intersection of European business, trade, and policy in China.
